The second dress is more formal . . . although I question a strapless dress for bridesmaids . . . the potential disasters . . . the unflattering way most womens arms look in a strapless.

For a formal wedding, the first dress is two casual. A tea length dress is more for an informal or garden wedding. The second dress is a much better choice if you want a formal feel to the wedding:)

Traditionally, the bridesmaids purchase their dresses. As if you don't have money to spend on all the other wedding chaos. If they can't afford it and you can...then yes. I recommend Davids Bridal...in store customer service is something to be desired, but they have beautiful dresses for reasonable prices. This will allow you many options and not break your friends bank.
Is any of your wedding party Plus Size? If they are, I recommend separates. Friday Night..Go for the black and pink....That rocks.

you might not want to go strapless you will see most of your bridesmaids with there thumps in there pits picking up the dress the entire night. for formal i would do the long dress but as a shopper i would do the alfred one just cus you might be able to use that dress again vs the forever dress. talk to the bridesmaids an see what they like better an go with the one you would love to see in wedding photos

Oct? i'd go for the second one, its more elegant yes but its also more of a fall style, the other one seems to summer for an oct wedding, just my opinion, i remember picking out the bridesmaid dresses. i was the MOD for my bff and she must of had me try on a million and one dresses. lol good luck but my choice i like the first one but the second seems more apprioprate for time of year, but it also depends on where ur wedding is, nobody can make this choice for you they can only influence

SInce your wedding is in october... I would have to say the second dress from forever brdials, the reason being is that October is usually a little colder depending where you live.... My bridesmaid dresses are kinda simialr to the first one, from alfred angelo but My weddding is in May so it will be plenty warm during that time.... Good Luck!!!

I prefer the longer dress. (2nd one) If it's formal, then this dress shows a little more elegance. It might be a good idea to get your bridesmaid to try it on - people look different in different things. Her body shape has to match the dress as well. See which one is more flattering on her! Good luck.

The second one is GORGEOUS for a formal wedding. If you are getting married in a warm climate (Florida, for example), the second one would probably be too hot during October, so the first would be more weather-appropriate.
If you are anywhere else, I'd go with the second one!

i like the second one, i'm getting married next nov. and heres my brides maids dresses its basically the same as the second one. I think short dresses are for like summer or spring weddings not for the fall or winter. But dont listne to me its your wedding. I was actually thinking about the brown with the pink but i chose dark navy its like a midnight blue and a silver shash! good luck hope all goes well!!!

I like the Alfred Angelo better. It is simpler and more practical as it can be worn again for other occasions. I played with the palette and it looks really good in platinum, raisin, cafe, much softer and feminine. Of course the decision is entirely up to you. Good luck and I wish you all the best.
