"Lasered"? You mean with a surgical laser or with a laser pointer?
If a laser pointer has been beamed into your eye, you most likely will not get cataracts later. You would be far more likely to suffer retinal damage and see a little black spot in your vision for the rest of your life. We don't have any surgeries for that problem yet. The retina is a very complex and fragile place, and while we can laser closed some hemorraging in it, and repair some macular degenreation (that happens to the elderly), we have no way of repairing the damage to it that a laser can cause.
But I don't think that you will get cataracts from it. You can get cataracts from being out in the sun without sunglasses, especially if 1) You go onto the water or the snow a lot, or 2) you are male and you start taking aspirin to keep from getting a blood clot in your heart arteries. And yes, there is a surgical treatment for it: the surgeon takes a little tiny scissor (2-3 mm wide) and snips out the lens.behind the cornea and replaces it with a plastic lens. I have talked to several people who've had this done, and they all have praised the procedure. They have to wear glasses after that, but at least they can see well again.
I hope this helps.
