I want to get a digital camera - what is the best one to get for a budget of £150?

You can get a cannon powershot A530 for less than £150 off Amazon. I've got one and it's really good. It has 5.0 mega pixels and a 4x optical zoom.

Can't tell you an exact model, as you may score lucky in a sale. But things to look for are optical zoom, and a resolution of not less than 1 Real mega pixel. Be careful, as there's a thing called "interpolating". What happens is that the camera takes a picture that is full of little holes. it then calculates what colours these missing holes should be and applies it to the,

So if it says 3MP interpolated, it's probably only about 1MP in reality.

Argos are chucking these Fujifilm cameras out at £112 (they were £279 - Bargain!), and they are semi SLR's (Pro's use an SLR) so the images you'll get out of it will wipe the floor with any of the little pocket digital camera's. The 5.1 MegaPixel resolution is more than you'll ever need.

Go to Argos and look at Digital camera and printer bundles as i got a Digital camera and printer for £150 a few months ago. Its a Kodak Easyshare C533 one i have, i dont know if they still do that one but i would recommend it.

Id have a look at morgancomputer
they seem to have a 7 megapixel camera for £140, the cheapest camera they have its around £23

i'd consider going half way and consider usign oine of the 4megapixel camers and bank the saving, or get a phot printer (personally Id rather take my photos and get them developed elsehwere at around 1..5p per image
