On my laptop i've got, Windows Media Centre Edition. On my other PC i've got Home Edition, seriously, i dont see any difference apart from the start bar and that menu u get with Media Centre.
Could somebody please enlighten me.

Huge difference. Media Center is actually XP professional with added functionality for multimedia integration.
Much more solid that XP Home & much much more secure online or on a network, as well as faster with most applications.
