The pain and headaches are obviously a result of the car accident. Basically you have a bunch of strained muscles from the transfer of energy from one car into yours and that sudden jolt of movement stretched a lot of your muscles....muscles that you didn't even know existed until today. Expect to be sore for about a week, maybe longer depending on the speed of the accident. Rest, Ice and Advil are going to be your best forms of treatment. I'm not fond of chiropractors. They are not true doctors in every sense of the term. They are do not practice medicine, just manipulate the bones in your body. That's not to say they have there place in society. I would seek out your primary care physician. If you don't have one, go visit one in a walk in clinic. They are the ones you would seek out for any narcotic pain medications to help you through this week. They can also write a Legal note excusing you from work. The second thing I would do is find a good massage therapist. Your muscles are inflammed and may start to spasm. You'll also have some lactic acid build up in your muscles which will cause the aches and stiffness.. A massage therapist will ru out the acid from your muscles, drink lots of water to flush it out, take advil to help with the pain and inflammation, rent a bunch of DVDs and take some rest.
As far as insurance goes, i'm not sure if they will cover a chiroprator bill since they are not medical doctors. If you go to a chiropractor today, you may end up paying for it out of your own pocket. I hope this helps....feel free to email me if you have any other questions.

if you have good insurance (and the people who hit you do as well) you can possibly get another car) That could be a good thing. Did you get checked out at the hospital? Even if you feel fine you should go get checked out while its still covered by insurance. Good luck to you, hope you arent in that much pain. I get into my first pretty bad wreck about a year ago and totaled that car.... I now have another one, kinda miss my other. I was in a LOT of pain..... cant really think of a good thing that came out of it.... I guess I like the car I got now, but other than that I dont know what good came out of it, other than the fact that my daughter and I lived. :)

go to a doc and get documentation of your injuries and yes her insurance will have to cover it, they may fight it at first but save all your bills and too...you could make a bundle if you sued. i sat in on a auto accident case where the woman had a sprained ankle as a result, she sued the guy and got over 200k. some of the jurors wanted to give her millions ! one thing, your injuries from this are lifetime, lots of ppl have whiplash and think its better after treatment but it always comes back. make sure you are compensated for your medical bills, lost wages, etc. don't hesitate to hire an attorney to represent you.

They should pay you doctor bills, but you will have to get a statement from you chiroprator that you problem was directly caused by the accident. It would be a good idea if you also saw a medical doctor about your condition and get a statement of you injurys from him to back it up.
If you can prove that the accident caused your problem they have to pay - they may want you to go to a doctor that they want inorder to also prove that your not lying.

You need to hire an attorney right away. He will make sure that your medical bills are paid and you car gets fixed. You also need to go to the hospital, you should have gone yesterday after the accident. I am hoping you are ok and you have a wonderful Christmas.
