Try the movie Earthquake and put the bass near the couch as it will make the floor and the chairs shake like the real thing..old movie, but really good sound effects in it. The movie theatres actually put huge bass speakers along the walls and the building was shaking when I seen it.

Platoon is awesome. I don't even like the movie, but the surround sound is killer. There's a scene where a helicopter behind you launches a missile and you want to duck when you hear it as it goes past you and blows up in front of you.

I dont own a home theater system, but my guess would be Jurassic Park or JP two..the scene where the dinosaur attacks the jeep and before that when you can feel and sense the sound of its feet in the distance; I think that'd be at least one good way to show it off!!!!!!!!

"Serenity" has the most awesome LFE channel I have ever heard. The 5.1 surround is fair, but the low frequency is unbelievable.
