Private medical treatment is so expensive - i looked into it for my mental health problems and just couldnt afford it.
This NHS waiting lists are really long, but i found that being really firm and constantly being on their backs helped me get my treatment much quicker.

If you live anywhere near a University call their psychology/psychiatry or medical schools. They often offer free or sliding scale pay services (or a set number of free visits and then charge on a sliding scale thereafter). If you have insurance, call your company and find out what is covered. If you don't, check into your State's supplemental medicaid programs. You can also check with local practitioners (just start with the phone book unless you know someone you trust to get a referral or are comfortable asking your physician), they know the system extremely well and can help you find funding/coverage for your treatment.
Best of luck...if you need help, good for you for trying to get it!
