It depends on the state or stage of disability you have. If you have full faculties, then you should have no problem in fulfilling your life to the full. Yes I know its hard, especially when you maybe stricken with pain, on every move, but if controlled to a certain extent, with medication, Yes I also know, that this does not always work. Try to get the most out of life and enjoy it. I and my wife are also disabled, and make the most of all good days , where it allows you to. /Good Luck and lift up your spirits.

I suppose its the quality of your life. Are you in constant pain? You should be happy you are alive. I thank god everyday that i am alive. No matter my phobias or what may be wrong with me i prefer being alive rather than deceased. You should think about all of the things you have in your life. I am sorry you are disabled but i know alot of people who are disabled in many different ways that i could never imagine going through life with and they go on living happy lives. Find a good friend to talk with about your life ..perhaps a counselor if needed.

Hey shana, there shouldn't be anything that should stop you from enjoying your life although you are disabled. Look at it this way there are people that are in a worse position than you are and that doesn't stop them from enjoying life.
Honey there's only one life to live and you have to live that life to the fullest! If you don't make yourself happy who will?
Do the things you enjoy, don't be afraid to try new things... Live life as it is your last.

i was born wiht spina bifida and confined to a wheelchair due to the fact i cant walk
but ive never let my disability get in the way of enjoying life to its fullest. i am almost 33 years old and got my drivers license when i was 30. i go places all the time , i go out dancing with hubby and friends, shopping, fishing, playing basketball you name it i have probably tried it.
also i prefer the term PHYSICALLY
CHALLENGED. disabled to me means unable to do something which couldnt be farther from the truth.
i do have so many friends with varying challenges, that have the woe is me attitude.
i figure i was born this way for a reason, so why not live life to its fullest?

What kind of disability do you have? My son has CP and is perfectly happy and joyful. If it is of the mental health variety it may be more difficult. Get out and meet new people, try new things, have some fun. Just like everyone else you have to try to actually have fun on a consistent basis.

don't look at your disability to stop you from having a fun filled life are there other things you like to do that can be done that don't use the disability? Try new things you will be amazed at what is funner than it sounds. I wish you luck :)

Learn to cherish the little things in life every day and realise your special in your own unique way.
Enjoy every simple thing you can, maybe there are hobbies you can still do?
Can you listen to music? If you can't hear then if you turn it up loudly you can feel the vibration still.
Don't be discouraged there are many people out there just like you and are willing to help you every minute, if your ever stuck or sad immediately ask for help online or in real life and you will see there are so many people who care and will try in every way possible to get you motivated again.
