My friend and I want to eat before we go to Radio City. We don't want to stray very far, since we're sort of pressed for time, but we have about two hours, and we're looking to spend around $10-$15 a meal.

There is an excellent authentic and very reasonably priced Chinese restaurant very nearby - Hing Won on 48th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenue. You'll eat well for $10.

There are a number of good reasonably priced restaurants on 55th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

La Bonne Soup - omelet with salad and bread is $12
Soup with salad, bread and a glass of wine is $16 (great onion soup. They have crepes and sandwiches. The food is very good; it can get crowded during the lunch hour.

Imperial Dragon has very good food; you can get lunch (11:30 to 3:30 from $6 to $10). There are seafood dishes for under $10 - if you're on a tight budget and like Chinese food this might be perfect for you.

Kiku, a Japanese restaurant on the 2nd floor - there are lunch specials for less than $10. The restaurant is small, but the food is good.

Mechanko Tei is a reasonably priced Japanese noodle house.

. Cassidy's is a pub serving reasonably priced burgers, sandwiches and simple entrees.

There is a pizza place on the block.

Since the last five restaurants are on the same block, I'm sure you will find something perfect for you.

Enjoy!

$10-$15 for a meal near Rockefeller Center is tough. I would get a slice of New York pizza and walk around enjoying store's holiday windows before the show.

go to Angelo's on Broadway between 53rd and 54th Sts. It's only a few blocks away and they've got some of the best pizza I've ever eaten in my life.
