This is a good one.
I believe if you go a little deeper into the Good Book you'll even see more info about dinosaurs, modern day technology, the departments of our brain, global warming and micro-organisms - to menttion just a few.
The Bible could be of good use to psychologists and psychiatrists too as it has more insights into the mind of man than the greatest textbooks.

Isa 40:22
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
--I already addressed this. Can't have a tent without a FLAT SURFACE. It says "circle", not "sphere". Dishonesty is looked down upon in Christianity, isn't it?
Water keeps land watered? DUH. That's not scientific, that's common observation. That was observed LONG before the Bible was written.
Job 26:7
First of all, the earth isn't "hanging". We see positive language in this verse, not negative. It's not suspended, either, which is synonymous. It's in an orbit. Does the Bible say that?
Isa 51:6 and Ps 102:26 say exactly the same thing (suspicious, eh?), but are not at all scientific. Furthermore, they are vague, much like the rest of the verses in this list, and actually contradictory to other verses in the Bible like Deut 4:40 and Psalm 78:69.
Ps 8:8 mentions nothing about ocean currents. It does mention (verbatim here) "paths". Like trails. Why do apologists have to lie?
Lev 17:11 Didn't need the Bible to tell us that if you bleed too much, you die. This common observation predates the old book, and is not proof of scientific thinking therein.
Heb 11:3 states: Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
"Because God made it, you can't see it."
There is NOTHING scientific about this verse. Come on. Is this the best you have?!
More lies by the apologists... Job 38:4 doesn't mention the earth's CRUST. It mentions the earth itself, and it can only lay upon a foundation if it's FLAT. Job 6 states that the earth doesn't move. We know that it does. The crust itself moves... plate tectonics are proof of this. We know the earth (a sphere, albeit not a perfect one) also moves around the sun. Both of these verses state otherwise.
I'll give you Job 38:7. But anything that sings produces sound. Are you telling me that stars actually sing? Are you telling me that this is an example of science in the Bible?
There is NOTHING scientific about Gen 15:5, 22:17, and Jer 31:37/33:22 (a repeat of Genesis, 31 talks again about the "foundation" nonsense) Any idiot can look into the night sky and not be able to count the stars.
Job 22:12 Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
Wow. Job looked up, couldn't reach the stars, and exclaimed how high they are. This is scientific how?
1 Cor 15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
Glory != magnitude, as much as you would like it to. The moon is not a star.
The winds do not form a circulating system.
You conveniently skipped
Job 38:13 That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
The Luke verses posted don't say anything about the earth.
Man's body is composed of dirt?
In conclusion, as anyone can plainly see, this list of verses is nothing more than either common observation or inconsistency. The Bible was not the first book ever written, and it contains absolutely nothing scientific. It was written by uneducated Bronze Age tribesmen with a social and political agenda. To say that there is science in the Bible is dishonest and disingenuous at best.

1. says Earth is a circle. Circles are 2 dimensional spheres are 3
2. Duh
3. Earth is not suspended, it is being hurtled through space because is is shrapnel
4. It is not running down.
5. Duh
6. How hard is it to figure out that one. If you bleed a cow it dies.
7. Hmmm. So stars are invisible, planets are invisible, moons, comets, asteroids. Perhaps you should tell astronomers that.
8. Actually the crust rests upon liquid not a foundation
9. What sound, electromagnetic radiation is not sound
10. Actually they can, there's just a lot of them
11. Doesn't it say they are painted on the firmament?
12. You can see that by looking at them
13. Ok
14 Job 38:13 That it might take hold of (K)the ends of the earth,
And (L)the wicked be shaken out of it?
paper has ends too does paper rotate on its axis?
15. Wrong, once again, WRONG.

Guess enough in a book of a few thousand pages and you're bound to get soemthing right. But don't forget the bible also directly contradicts some of these same ideas.
Genesis:
All of the animals boarded the ark "in the selfsame day." 7:13-14
All animals were originally herbivores. Tapeworms, vampire bats, mosquitoes, and barracudas -- all were strict vegetarians, as they were created by God. 1:30
Noah is told to make an ark that is 450 feet long. 6:14-15
"The whole earth was of one language." But this could not be true, since by this time (around 2400 BCE) there were already many languages, each unintelligible to the others. 11:1, 6
Jacob displays his (and God's) knowledge of biology by having goats copulate while looking at streaked rods. The result is streaked baby goats. 30:37-39
Exodus:
It took the Israelites 40 years to travel from Egypt to Canaan, yet such a journey, even at that time, would have taken no more than ten days. 16:35
Numbers:
God has "the strength of a unicorn." Oh heck, I bet he's even stronger than a unicorn. 23:22, 24:8
"An eagle ... beareth them (young) on her wings."32:11
Stars produce sound?
Please

"Stars are incredibly distant from the earth-- Job 22:12" Wow...that Job is really profound. The bible has been rewritten so many times it is impossible to say when these ideas were implanted. Not to mention all that is lost or confused in translation. And most of these things scientists did not have to discover because cave men knew them thousands of years before science. The bible belongs in the science fiction section of the bookstore, hidden away in the back corner. If I want to waste my time reading about magic and miracles I'll pick up a Lord of the Rings book...Wake up!!!

I'll bet dimes to dollars that scientists existed thousands of years ago. And why should you assume that they didn't already make those discoveries during biblical times. It was proven that Aztecs and Mayans had a complex number system and could use astrology. Everytime a society gets invaded and taken over their history is destroyed and replaced with lies. They probobly believed in scientific facts even before biblical times. Creating fire is a science experiment, and inventing a wheel takes knowledge of physics.

I don't think the bible and science really have a lot to do with each other. I believe the bible is a telling of the creation and of man's place in the world in a format and in a way that was appropriate for people with little understanding of science. Just because we now understand more of the science of our existence, it does not make that story any less valuable. They're just two ways of talking about the same things - the phenomena of existence and self-awareness.

It says the earth was created in a week around 6000 years ago-when it makes a whopping great lie like that it's struggling to retain any credibility however much Christians might like to give it a superficial veneer of validity.

Interesting your comments on stars, when in revelations it says that a beast will walk on the earth and with one flick of his tail knock a number of stars out of the sky and they will fall onto the floor. Remember also that stars were created to give light to the earth at night, even though more than 99% are not visible to us.???

Which of those is anything other than stating the bloody obvious? Also your sentence "these were written thousands of years before scientists discovered them" is totally ridiculous.
