Who cares? It's still all about what WOMEN WANT! No one is FORCING THEM to put on that thong! If they think it's demeaning, DON'T BUY them or wear them! If women are given a distorted image of what men want, it's only because they haven't made a stand against it and bowed to the convictions of men who condone such things. The Islamic veil doesn't offend me, but I do think it's a be strange to make women wear them. Bikinis (to a point) don't offend me either, but whe I see some of the thingsI've seen women parading around in, I wonder how they avoid being arrested!

I'm not against no veil, as long as it does not interfere (in Western society) with certain kind of jobs.
Women in Western society are not forced to wear bikinis, they do it because they choose to do so. I invite you to just ask any girl on a beach (if you're living in a conservative Muslim country you're out of luck). That's called freedom of choice. There are also, besides the ones who have no choice at all, Muslim women who choose to wear a veil. That's also freedom of choice.
Women are the better half of humanity in all senses. I'm sure that every men independent of his cultural or religious background likes to see a female in a bikini. Be honest with yourself!

What is wrong with appreciating the beauty of a woman's body?. Only you muslims think it's a sin. Keep your veil on, I don't want to see what you look like anyway. American women aren't ashamed of who and what they are, and THAT is the most appealing thing about them, not their bodies.

Not really. I'm against forcing woman to wear anything. I like seeing woman in bikinis if that's what they want to wear.
