You say diskette? Did you mean CD?

You should have no problem copying an Excel file to a floppy or flashdrive if, when you saved the file, you were sure to save to filetype Excel.

If you want to copy to a CD, you must use a CD/RW, and the CD must first be formatted with the software that powers your burner -- for example, Samsung uses Nero, Dell uses DLA.

Flashdrives make life a lot easier. Why not invest in one of those?
