I don't see the US doing battle with Lebanon, since it's government is friendly with the US. The Taliban in Afghanistan are being hunted down by UN as well as US troops.
I do believe the UN members must step up to the plate to help defeat the insurgency in Afghanistan, but most are European and we all know how dependable they are.
So, we are down to just three, and this is when the US is most dangerous because now we would be forced to use air power which would be devastating for any country that we target with air power. We don't dilute ourselves by having more than one enemy, we start unpacking our real assets, the ones designed to eliminate our enemy.
When faced with these odds, the US can no longer have a 'do nice' strategy, such as the one in Iraq. This is when we go through town and eliminate all but six. We save them for pall bearers.
In this event, a draft would be necessary because an invasion, after air power is utilized, is necessary for mop up!

The way I got it figured. We'll let Israel nuke Syria and Iran. They'll be able to take Lebanon with conventional forces. We'll provide air support and recon from Iraq.
China will take out North Korea to avoid a nuclear war on their border and loss or US trade.
UN and Britain will help take out remaining Taliban in Afganistan.
Ground forces are only relevant in attempting to reduce civilian casualties. With enough air power bombing the truly fascist regimes back into the stone age should be sufficient to neutralize their threat.

Syria and Lebanon are no threat ot the US. We will not be at war with them. We will not be at war with North Korea. The South Koreans could handle any kind of conventional action, with our help, and if it goes nuke, well that is the end of North Korea and it isn't going nuke. Niether will we be taking any kind of mass conventional action against Iran.
Iraq and Afghanistan are being dealt with using the all volunteer military and it is holding up well, very well.

I think it's about time to draft again, there are alot of people who take there freedom forgranted, may be if they earn it first hand they will learn to embrase it...Then there are those who speak of war who has no clue to whats realy going on... so let the days of judgement stop and let them see the truth... the only way to win wars is to let the military do our job, and for the politics well they can take there polls and shove it up there @$$...

I think some people here in the US wants us to withdraw from Iraq so later we can fight all of those countries here on our streets. Then will there be a draft? Yes, everyone with a gun will be fighting.

If it really came to having to fight them all at one time
1. ICBM's
2. B-52's
3. 40 days and 40 nights of bombings with smart and dumb bombs
4. Sent in the troops with shoot to kill orders nad raze every thing that stands. Scorched earth, death and fire at a level that no other country would want to do more than kiss our butts for the next 200 years.

But do you really want to start a III World War. America does have allies, and so do the other countries, which may hence lead to a third world war. This is how how the other two started. And what have these countries done to you, that you want to (that is America) fight them.

You're not and that's a bloody good thing. You are the Worlds greatest war mongering nation run by a bunch of right wing religious idiots.
Show some humility and join the rest of the World, be constructive, cooperative and involved instead of destructive, confrontational and isolated.
I think America is a greater threat than ANY other country in the World by far. Its foreign policy is an absolute disaster and in very large part, responsible for the terrorism we see today. The US seeks to control, marginalise, isolate and separate any thinking that is different to America's as wrong.
In doing so it brings down a torrent of anti- American sentiment, mistrust and even hatred on itself. The only people that can't seem to see this are the Americans themselves. Shoot it, lock it up, execute it, invade it or sanction it; that's the American way.
What makes America more dangerous above anything else is the fact she thinks she's right and that, coupled with that peculiarly American brand of right wing zealotry, is very dangerous indeed!
America would do well to join the rest of the World instead of rampaging around trying to run it. A 250 year old country could learn much from one that is 10000years old. Be a good World citizen; try cooperation and involvement instead of competition and confrontation.
These values would serve America well. Lets face it; her present methods don't seem to be doing her any favours, do they? They are doing harm to the rest of us too.
Jules, Australia.
