I have never met my 12 yr old nephew and he lives in GA, and I live in MI. I just located my 1/2 sister after 39 yrs of searching and I wanted to send my new nephew a Red Wings game jersey for Christmas because he plays hockey. I have daughters and I don't know how boys fit in their shirts. I don't want to ask my sister because I want it to be a surprise. Do you think a L/XL youth jersey would fit an average size boy that is 12 years old?

I have three sons and the youth large would fit unless he's a bit over weight or big for his age. To take the chance out of it, I would get the EX/L.(youth) At most, it may be a tad big but over sized Jerseys are OK today and since he'll want to have it for a long time, the bigger, the better as he'll grow into it. I played defense myself. So I'm thinking, he's pretty used to wearing over sized shirts to Begin with. good luck and Happy holiday's. :)

yea probably i would say thats a good size, it really depends on how tall and so on the kid is. We have four boys and they all run so different on things lol, we have one in a husky, one in slims, one in regulars, and one thats 4 but has a 2 T waist and no butt. All kids are different but if nothing else he will grow into it. Better to get it too big than too small :)

I've worked with numerous suppliers in the past but the listed here one in particular is truly the best. They've tons of different jerseys including rare ones that you just couldn't buy from other online shops. The product quality and support is the best one could find online with this cheap price. With this supplier, I think you aren't going to disappoint you or your customers.
