Find your spirituality.....sometimes God likes to get our undivided attention with illness or injury (not that He causes it)...He guides us through what modern medicine cannot. I am not speaking of religion, but of spirituality...there is a difference. Ask for healing so you may be around longer for your daughter. There are such things as miracles and you can be healed when you couple medicine with healing and a little faith. Best of luck to you....sorry to hear of your illness. Be well, my friend.

I feel your pain, I just found out I have terminal Mesothelioma, Like you I'm not scared of dying, but sure worry about my son and grandsons. Hopefully you are not terminal and you will live a long and happy life, but it is best to be prepared and focus on trying to make the transition as painless as possible for your loved ones. I have spent the last week getting arrangements made and trying to make sure there are no legal problems left behind. Your Oncologist should be able to tell you about your chances and in my case was able to give me a time frame, so at least I have a guideline to work with. Keep your chin up my friend and the best of luck to you and your family.

Well you can relax because lung cancer is certainly treatable if found early enough. I had a friend that had 1 lung removed due to lung cancer and she is still alive today 15 years later!!! So don't give up just yet, but it does depend on how far the cancer has progressed.

My advice is that you get a good sleeping pill from the doc. Try Ambien CR or lunesta. A good night sleep helps you fight this thing. Also you can rest assured that no matter how crazy it has been duing the day, you will find peace and comfort at night. Good luck Brian.

One good reference that is full of info and good advice is Michael Murray's How to Prevent and Treat Cancer With Natural Medicine. No snake oil here or empty promises, but an excellent discussion of all aspects of cancer treatment and what can be done to make it most effective and helpful. Well documented.
Good luck and God bless!

it can certainly be taken care of if you caught it early enough. i have had to deal with it in my immediate family numerous times.to be scared of leaving your daughter right now is ,to say the least , quite normal and understandable.talk to her, alot. take care of legal things now. it may help to ease your mind even when the drs. say things are good. maybe offer your daughter some counseling so that she can get some answers as well and let her know how much you love her.mostly, focus on getting well.
best of luck to you and your daughter. god bless you.
p.s. please keep us all posted!

well, there are a lot of choices in having treatment by having a radiation therapy, chemotherapy or radiofrequency ablation (removal of tumors) if there is a tumor in ur lungs.. i think that's one thing that could really help since it was recently diagnosed..
