It's acceptable, sure, in the terms that it's legal. I've dated older guys before (my husband is almost 10 years older than I). I think it depends on the person. If she's smart and mature, go for it. But I think you have to realize that smart and mature at 18 is not necessarily smart and mature for 33. People at that age have a lot of growing to do still. The teenage mind has not completely developed. If you're in it for fun, fine. But don't expect a long-term relationship from it.

how many times is this gonna be asked? If it's legal then you can't get in trouble for it but what is wrong with you that you have things in common with an 18 yo girl? Were you in a coma between 23 & 30 and miss the maturing that most people do in those years or what?

Yes, I think it can be acceptable. There are a lot of variables (or barriers) though you and your partner would have to get through. If you think she can hang with the fact your an older man who has a career, while she's still finding herself, then yeah, it can work.

Sure it's acceptable, but if you are looking long term, it is very improbable that it would work out. She hasn't enough life experience to handle most relationship situations. You will be reliving those days of your past again just so she can learn.

yes but thats a big age gap so theres a chance that you wont be very compatable and as shes still so young she might not want a serious relationship, but as long as youre both happy then I dont think age matters at all.

i dated a 32 year old when i was 19, i dont see a big deal...it honestly has to do with the individuals involved, like their maturity levels, what they are doing with their lives, etc. kind of like any relationship

Uh ...No.... bad idea. Date a kid, you have to deal with a kid's problems, perspective and juvenile hang ups. At 33, it would seem that a real man would prefer a real woman and not a kid

No its not. 18 is considered legal but in my eyes she is still a child so just leave that alone. You don't want to look like a pervert do you?

I think it is acceptable but odd. It would be hard to have very much in common but if you do and there is great chemistry, go for it!
