Ignore all those mean people!!! Everyone feels like that sometimes, but if you've been feeling bad for a while (more than 2 weeks) make an appointment to see your GP - don't worry about what they might think or about making a fuss, that's what they're there for and they see heaps of people with the same problem all the time. Being tired, bad tempered and aggressive are all symptoms of depression - esp. if you don't have a reason for feeling so down. They could also be symptoms of other medical conditions - eg. diabetes, thyroid disorders, food intolerance's - you dr will be able to test for them too.

If you don't think it's as serious as that, try kicking yourself out of your bad mood doing something nice for yourself - buy new make up, a face mask, etc. and pamper yourself for the day; or get dressed up just for fun, try out new hair styles; get yourself out and active - go for a walk, a run, a swim - what ever you enjoy (shopping counts as exercise too, at least in my book!); have a chilled night in with ice cream and a dvd; or try something new - join a club or go somewhere you've not been before; or invite your friends round for a party. Different things work for different people, all might seem like an effort but you will feel heaps better for it. Eating a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and veg and a few less E numbers can sometimes help too.

I hope you're feeling better soon xx

Hi, Without knowing too much, you seem frustrated and maybe stuck in a rut? Look to the future and set a date for a new challenge: a college course, a charity fun run, Martial Arts, either alone or with a friend. Focus on event and have a start & 'ideal' completion date. Above all make it interesting, acheivable and enjoyable. While you're trying this new 'lifestyle change' look at your food, drink and exercise routines. Eat a complete meal evey 3-4 hours, whether hungry or not, this will reduce snacking and regulate your body's energy source. Eat natural foods, reduce refined sugars, saturated fats and keep alcohol to a minimum. Try for a bath before bedtime and read a relaxing book with minimal distractions. Enjoy what you do and don't make excuses to prevent you from becoming happy, feel the fear and do it anyway......You are the only person preventing yourself from succeeding.

I reckon it is the weather to be honest. Statistically speaking more people get bad tempered around Christmas time then any other because it is cold, expensive and Santa Claus is really an advertisement for Coca Cola and not St Nicolas.

You should take a leaf out of my book and become a Jehovah's Witness (only for a month)! Hope that helps.

sounds like you have some serious questions going thru you. Look at the past year and see what really is the heart of your problem;relationship, job, the economy get you into a state of confusion?
I know at times many factors set you into a mood swing that gets way off the beatten path.Maybe you just need to make time for what you enjoy doing.

Sounds like a serious case of "grinch" syndrome. Lots of people suffer from it and the only cure is to wait for the day your calendar reads 01/02./07...

seasonal affected disorder? SAD, caused by lack of sunlight....get yourself a natural light light bulb...get up 30 mins earlier in the morning and go read a book infront of it....will make you feel much more happy! That is if you are suffering from SAD

Sounds like depression, that is one of the things they never really talk about is how you can get irritable when you are depressed. See a doctor, and they should be able to help you feel better and be yourself again.

Let me guess...you live in a big city somewhere and work all day then go out with your friends and get drunk to make yourself feel better? You need to change one of these things - or all of them:
- your job
- where you live
- your attitude to life
I suggest you also read "Depression for Dummies" at www.dummies.com. Take control girlfriend and don't let life control you - learn how to control IT!!!
