I don't think that religion is the question. It's what is in your heart. But if you want to check out different religions to find where you need to be in life, I would start with a Bible study with a Jehovah's Witness. Jehovah's witnesses STUDY the bible, they don't preach to you. If you really want to know God, it's not going to happen by just finding a religion and going to church. It just doesn't work that way. The Bible tells us that the "good word" will be spread in the entire earth and tongue. The only "religion" that I can think of that is like this, is Jehovah Witnesses. When you go to study the Bible at any Kingdom Hall, it is the same, no matter if you are here in the United States or in China or any other country. Now, if you are Christian, you could go to a christian church down the street from you and then go to one in another town in your same state and you will get different messages. Really search in your heart and you will find what you need. In a nutshell, study the Bible, it will lead you to where you need to be in life.

17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believe

Why not ask "who is your favorite political leader?"?

You'll get a million different answers. This could be based on what country they are in, what their political leaning is, what their financial situation is...etc.

There is no solid answer on a best religion.

It depends greatly where you are coming from and what roads/modes of transportation are available.
