I have no idea, but corner grid like markings appear in my MS word document and I can't get rid of them. They are in all four corners where the margins meet.

You've got the drawing turned on. Click View, Toolbars, and turn off the Drawing Toolbar. Then:

To show or hide drawing gridlines
To display the Drawing toolbar, click Drawing .
On the Drawing toolbar, click Draw, and then click Grid.
Select the Display gridlines on screen check box.
Choose the options you want.
For Help on an option, click the question mark , and then click the option.

those sound like textual content obstacles. do this (note XP (2002) and adjoining variations. note Vista (2007) would have a similar function): a million. click the strategies->recommendations menu merchandise. 2. If textual content obstacles is chosen in the Print and internet format recommendations section, deselect it. 3. click ok. desire that helps.
