Just white. Rose is chilled too, but heavier reds are served just a bit below room temperature.Different kinds of whites and different kinds of reds are served at different temperatures, but the general rule is- the lighter, the colder.
Ideally, wine should be kept in a wine cooler at optimal temperature at all times. Putting it in the fridge 6 hours ahead will suffice in real life. You can chill red and then let it get to room temperature (or a bit below)- it tastes better that way.

Wine experts suggest the 15 minute rule to get the best from your wine. Assuming your white has been in the fridge for 3 hours or more. Take white wine out of the fridge 15 minutes before serving and pop red wine in 15 minutes before serving. Fridge temp is to low for white and room temp is to high for red.

I have a wine fridge that I store all of my wine in. Since I have more reds than whites, so I store mine at low to mid 50s F for the reds.
As for serving, I usually open the bottles up to 15 - 20 min prior to serving to let them breath a bit. Most americans drink their reds too warm and whites too cold.

Chill white...and most chill pinot noir...although even wineries disagree on to chill or not to chill with pinot.
Red (not pinot) shouldn't be chilled, but stored somewhere below room temp (which is why most wines are stored in the cellar).
Many people over-chilll whites...store them in the fridge, but bring them out 15-30 minutes prior to drinking.
