I totally go against wars and killings! To me, race, religion, ethnicity, etc play no part! If you're killed, you're still human! I have sympathy!

God sent forth Joshua into battle many times to kill everyone that God commanded him to kill. Joshua didnt kill for no reason these people possessed a land that wasnt theirs and they were aganist God. I cannot say if this war we are in is for the right or for the wrong. I dont know everything and neither do you. I know what my uncle said when he came back and he said this war is worth the battle. Now if God did not lead Bush into this battle then its bush who will answer to the blood that has been spilled. Those in the army must obey those who have rule over them. Thats in God's word. The best you can do and I as well is if this war is not God's will, then we should pray that this war end.

apparently jesus and father are too busy to zap the waring parties into corners for a timeout...perhaps somewhere in the universe there are more pressing issues that need their attention...so we are left with the bible, koran, torah and the lost tablets of the ten commandments (whereabouts unknown thankfully is was exrox into the bible) to read our way into world peace...but like a soap opra there's always drama...and the juiciest drama is love, hate ,revenge, which is found in the bible....so the turmoils of life on this far far away planet earth in the universe somewhere the human masters can only work with what they have......the writings of long ago men who didn't have star buck's....

Jesus commanded that you love your brother as you love yourself. Who is your brother? Your brother is not an islamic extremist who willingly murders women and children. Nor is he a catholic priest who molests young boys. If someone is trying to kill your family, would you not stop them at all costs? We as humans are far from perfect which is why grace is so important if you are a believer in christ and you try to do his will and live a repentant life then your mistakes are covered by his blood. Jesus said it himself that we are constantly at war with princes and principalities meaning Satan and his demons. Satan definately interferes with human societies he is like a lion looking to devour all. So is war ok for christians? If someone is trying to kill your family then you are justified in killing them, just my opinion

I would challenge everyone to read the Bible for the facts in its entirety instead of choosing the places that fit into our thoughts or feelings on something. I don't like war, but neither do I like people that hurt others for their gain or benefit such as Hitler or Sadaam. I believe we are called to a duty to protect any that can't protect themselves. God has called people to battle, just read His Word. Plus for a nation that claims to love its freedom, we sure are forgetting how we get it, got it, and keep it!

It is hard to argue with you if you don't allow it. So I will say, study the Bible and see what the reasons were for the wars.

The Christians' kingdom is the kingdom of heaven, a spiritual kingdom, Their warfare is against the evil spiritual forces in the heavenly places. Their purpose in so doing is to establish God's kingdom on earth by use of their spiritual authority. Christians are engaged only in spiritual warfare if they do it God's way and not in warfare in the natural. Christians do not fight against flesh and blood.

I am not a christian and believe that the world would be alot more peaceful if there were no Religion. I think Religion is just something that society prefers to cling to, in hopes of making some sense out of life and for hope of something greater after we die.
In reality, it causes alot of hurt, and wars.
Both sides thinks that "their" god is worth dying for............and killing. Ironic.

because in the bible it said that af ter god comes back then then the tribulations would happen for 7 years and after the tribuletions that there would be a war between god angels and the demons plus the devil ( satan ) and when all the demons and satan dies they will be thrown into the lake of fire

We are also bound under the laws of our government and some choose to protect our land. If we go to war, we support the troops, not the war.
