My son just got over the chicken pox last week and we went and bought Aveeno Oatmeal bath and you run the bathtub water and pour one packet under the running water and mix around any of the packet that settles to the bottom of the tub. Sit in the tub for 20-30 minutes so it can settle on the skin and don't rinse it off. When you get out of the tub pat yourself dry because if you rub you'll wipe off the film of oatmeal bath that has settled on your skin. After that you can apply Calamine lotion on the spots. Make sure not to scratch them because you'll pop the little water filled blisters and they will spread like crazy. You can also take Benadryl for the itching . Make sure that if your using Benedryl and calamine lotion that the lotion your using is not called Caladryl because it has Benadryl in it and if your taking it orally your can get too much Benadryl in your system. Be careful around others as well because they can break out as well. Usually 2 weeks after the first initial person breaks out. Hope you feel better soon. It usually scabs up in 5-6 days and then your not contagious anymore.

Get some Calamine lotion or take a bath with Aviva (sorry, it is some name like this but cannot bring it to mind. Ask the pharmacist) added. Also call the doctor and ask the nurse there what else solutions they have. I know they have shots out in some cases and depending on the circumstances such as age etc. If you are scratching at nighttime put some socks on your hands so you do not do this in your sleep.

stay home and ask your physician for medicine that could lessen the itching. it is also best if you spread it with your children or siblings who are about 8 years old so that they won't have any problems with chickenpox when they're older

I had them when I was 15, and they can basically drive you crazy.
Make sure you put tons of Calamine lotion on every one of them several times a day, makes them dry faster and makes the itch bearable... also, my 100 years old grandma told me to wear RED for the first 4-5 days (while they still pop up), and then BLACK for the drying period ... i tried it on my kids to when they had them, and i think it helps. Oat baths can also help, for as long as you put the calamine lotion on right away.
Good luck
