The Quran in Sura 23:5-6 says:

5 [Most certainly true believers] . . . guard their private parts scrupulously, 6 except with regard to their wives and those who are legally in their possession, for in that case they shall not be blameworthy. (Sayyid Abul A’La Maududi, The Meaning of the Quran, vol. 3, p. 237)

The key words are "those who are legally in their possession." Maududi (d. 1979) is a highly respected commentator on the Quran, and he interprets the plain meaning of the clause, saying that sex with slave-girls is lawful.

This is why a lot of maid-servants can be raped in Saudi and Middle East, and yet have no case against their boss.

Merry Christmas!!!!

I think in Mosaic law you can find a counterbalance to that. It was still a rough time, but there was a fair amount of good treatment for slave women. Men were permitted to marry them (not rape them at will) and had to give them the proper time to grieve their families before any sex started. Still not idea, but a lot better than sex objects even back then. Long before Islam and it's "equality of women".

What about the slavery of Christians in Sudan?

No it just gives right to slave girls, remember you still did not allow black American to sit with you on buses or go to the same toilets or restaurants or vote only 30 years ago. so the Quran does not talk about slaves as black the Quran was giving them rights1400 years ago. The prophet married a slave girl. Islam gives rights to animals not just people read before you judge; it will be better for you. You see that is why you ave Muhammad ali change his name and become muslim nation of islam.

I think that is from part 400 chapter 96. I believe its entitled " We can't get chicks the normal way because of our stupid @$$ clothes and stank @$$ smell so we shall do this." Yep, I'm almost certain of that dude. Its right before the the chapter entitled " We Make bombs so we can blow people up for not believing in our stupid religon." Yesterday was the 11th of the month. I hope all good Americans, the true patriots, are doing their part against the muslims of our society here in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. If you are new to our cause its call "9/11 WE'LL MAKE YOU REMEMBER!!!" On the 11th of each month of the year you are to go out in your respective cities and harrass and then beat to a pulp a member of the muslim society. Just think for only 0 cents a day you can be beating up muhamed or Jabili or whatever their stupid name is on the 11th of each month. As a bonus for members we recommend that on the 11th of September you beat 2 or more muslims. Well, I know I know, thats my plug. Remember its free and you can act like real patriots and not like these liberal f*gs that are all like, " Look at the poor muslims, we are sterotyping them. BOO HOO!!!" TOO BAD!!!

EDIT: Hey Fagies, whats going on? The name fits bro. The name fits. RESPECT!!! Not really...

Yes, this was ages ago. Slaves were part of the culture then and Islam put an end to slavery gradually. No muslim is a slave now.

Peace

If the Muslims were such a horrid lot, why did they free all the slaves on their own volition, especially when you claim they could sleep with them on their own free will? Slavery exsists no longer in Muslim countries because of the Muslim people freeing them all. So smarten up.

this is the verse related to free the slaves. and Muhamamd forbid muslims from calling them slaves but to call them my boy or my girl:

[11] But he has not attempted to pass on the path that is steep (i.e. the path which will lead to goodness and success).

[12] And what will make you know the path that is steep?

[13] (It is) freeing a neck (slave)

No, God did not say that in the Quran. You have mistaken the words of the Quran with your imagination.

But the responsibility of having a slave is like taking care of your own wife/family.

But there is no more slaves nowadays.
