I just returned from my second trip this year to Ecuador. Its a very important destination for bird watchers, as there are over 1,500 species of birds found in a country with the same area as Nevada. There are a number of excellent lodges there that cater to birders and other nature enthusiasts. There is a great diversity of habitat types, ranging from the Amazon basin to the high Andes. I love this country!
