Your question is vague....Do you mean hurt as in missing out on something (i.e. the first steps or words of a child)? or Do you mean hurt as in work means more than being w/ your significant other?
Depends on what your priorities are and what you really want to achieve... When you set your mind to something, usually it works out. But also remember, sometimes it's impossible to avoid hurting someone. GL.

what do you mean by "someone will be hurt?" but when i read you question you are asking how to manage work and family, and if YOU will be hurt or you family? if thats the case....then..
Managing work and family is tough, becaue someones has to bring home the cash, and that person is you, so you prolly feel a lot of pressure already, and to top it off you prolly have family problems [like we all do], so wht you have to do is to make sure that you put FAMILY FIRST. yes yes. i noe work is important and money is important, BUT think about who NEEDS YOU. and if you even have to THINK about choosing between a job or family. then this world isnt right...
So all you have to do is make time for family, no matter how LITTLE or how MUCH. just make sure to say your "I LOVE YOUS and i HATES you." dont hurt yourself either

Give time to your fmaily while your off work and dont over work to much. When you get to work work hard and get things done and then go home and be with your family.

By making sure you can give quality time to your family even if it means hiring a housecleaner to help so it frees up some time....good luck
