What is the meaning behind a man acting seemingly very keen during phone calls, suggesting future dates etc, but who goes quiet for weeks on end. He is not married, btw. We spoke a month ago before i moved out of town for a month, with work. During this call he was very chatty, instigating talks about taking time off work to visit me. However he never called and after 2 weeks silence i called him. He was apologetic and upset by my assumption that he didn't want to see me again, explaining his silence as work related, i.e. he was frustrated by failed attempts to try and get time off to visit me. He said he was too embarrassed to call until something was sorted out. He was insistent that we stay in contact and meet up on my return, again seemingly keen and he suggested various dates. That was 2 weeks ago and no word since. He knew I would be home last week, so what does this inconsistent behaviour mean? Feel I should hold out and wait for him to make effort to contact me this time? Agree

Confused signals indeed! It could be cos he is unsure what you feel about him...or maybe he is like someone I know- fickle and swept up by what is happening in the moment but as soon as it is out of sight looking for something new to excite him.

Personally, I cant be bothered with people who cant maintain their interest---love (and Im not saying it is love) should be constant, it should not dissipate with the wind. Do you really want to get involved with someone like this, even if he is well intentioned?

He might be afraid of what people will think of him for liking a girl so much younger than he is - like maybe they'll think that he must be immature. At your guys age, 3 years can be a big difference.

men are very confused things. They are very "here and now" people. What matters to a man at one time might not matter the next day. They are selfish and dont care to offend.
