Yes, but the kerosine type depends on the engine type. Prop aircraft use AVGAS (Aviation Gasoline), wherehas Jet aircraft use AVTUR (Aviation Turpentine). They're simply at different refined levels. (Fast Jets, like fighters etc use F-34 grade AVTUR)

Yes Kerosene/paraffin. I wonder if the inventor of the jet engine, Frank Whittle, observed the old paraffin blowlamp in action that atomised the fuel for his initial idea, and sounded like a jet ?, sounds a bit silly really

Jets and turboprops( jet engine driving a propeller) burn a form of kerosene, small piston aircraft burn avgas, which is automotive fuel but much higher octane (100 octane) and still has lead in it.
Small airplanes will be coming out with diesel engines, which will then be able to burn jet fuel.

Yes, of a jet engine powered plane. Small planes with piston engines use aviation gas.
The kerosene is typically treated with a gelling agent so that if the plane crashes, the fire will be somewhat slowed down and won't spread as fast as normal kerosene.

Jet-A is basically kerosene, and is used by all aircraft except the smallest ones, which use gasoline.

You do seem to be inquisitive about aeroplanes! Different types ofengine use different types of fuel and different grades of fuel too.
