Latte or better Latte Macchiato (spotted milk literally) is a cup of milk with just a spoon of coffee inside to give some color to the milk.
Espresso is a very short coffee with a high degree of caffeine, if you ask for "a coffee" in Italy normally you get this. If you want the coffee in a mug you should ask for "an American coffee".
Cappuccino has the same amount of coffee of espresso, then you have to add an equal amount of milk heated up with steam (very foamy milk), so you will get a very nice brown colored foamy milk. You can add some chocolate powder over it and you will get a "Marocchino" (Moroccan)

Okay, Cappuccino is a long or short Espresso(depends how strong you like it, Steamed Milk and the Foam to make a Cap(like the cappucine Monks wear.
A Latte` is pretty much the same, except the Foam.
Espresso is just a special blend and Roast, also the way it is ground. There is also a "Macchiata", which is a Espresso with a Foam-Cap.
Did you know that Espresso almost has no Caffeine like regular Coffee ?????

It's all coffee. Basically the difference between espresso and drip coffee is the extraction method. Espresso is finely ground coffee put in a special basket and pushed through this basket with a lot of force for a short period of time; whereas drip coffee is ground coarser and usually extracted through a gravity drip method.
As for the difference in the types of drinks you inquired about: espresso, latte, and mocha. Espresso is just a straight shot of coffee made from the espresso machine without any thing else added to it. The latte is milk steamed to a velvety consistancy and blended with the espresso shot, and the mocha is basically a latte with chocolate added
Cappuccino starts out with one espresso brewed in a larger cup, then milk, which is steamed into a thick froth, is poured on top of the espresso. Chocolate is sprinkled on top to give it a finishing touch.

espresso is brewed from espresso beans and is the base of both cappuccino and a latte. they are both made the same way with the same ingredients but the latte has less foam. the cappuccino has 1/3 foam, 1/3 espresso, and 1/3 steamed milk.

Cappuchino- 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk and 1/3 frothed milk Latte- . In English-speaking countries it usually refers to one of several types of coffee beverages made with hot milk. Espresso- flavourful coffee beverage brewed by forcing very hot, but not boiling, water under high pressure through coffee that has been ground to a consistency between extremely fine and powder. Regular Coffee- popular beverage prepared from the roasted seeds (not beans) of the coffee plant Hope this helps!
