Genes, and you can't change them!
Just do the best with what you've got.
(I too seem to have taken some of the worst from each, but also some good traits)

Simple Genetics.You get half of your own genetic code (DNA) from your mom and half from your dad. This is the code for your own DNA.

and the fact that they raised you--so you're values, experiences, etc might sort of resemble theirs.... even clothing styles (later, when you stop defining yourself as opposite them)
