well done!!!! 4 months you need to talk this through with a councilor or Friend, someone more real than someone in computer land there a real power that come s with being honest about personal struggles and that hold over wanting the blades around wont be so strong all the self harmer's i know have been abused so talking about this getting prayed for and healed from anything like that will help a lot
i used to sit on the road wanting to be ran over when i became a christian i have never looked back asking Jesus to come into my life and to take the pain away was the best thing i ever did
self harm can feel good and its something you can understand ! when your hurt and the blood comes out it makes sense why it hurts when in this messed up world so much else doesn't make sense so i wonder if having those blades around is a sense of security in your life it really is the wrong source of course i will pray for you if you want me too!

Eve - I am so proud of you for getting help for yourself. Did something happen (we call it trigger) you going out and buying more blades? An arguement, being hurt, feeling stressed with life in general??
Tell your counselor what happened and that you are having trouble getting rid of them now. She will likely tell you that you did this to have a "safety" net, but she will also help you to get rid of them.
All of us with MH disorders have setbacks...do not beat yourself up over this...its just a matter of getting back on top of things.

Your self abuse is filling a need you have. In a sense, you are comforted by this as are many others. You should try to find a replacement for this behavior that is not harmful to you. You should also see a professional to help guide you through and deal with any abuses that have been done to you. Sometimes, it is easier to feel physical pain than it is to feel emotional pain. So we have to re-train our mind and way of thinking to cope internally and not physically. Good luck and please see a professional!

hey, it's ok, i used to be the same way, for about 5 years. it's a tough thing to stop, maybe something had happened that triggered you to want to cut again. just stay strong, stay on your meds, and just try to think positive..it's a long tough road but i've been there, and it will get better. i promise.

read this
it helps me
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Suddenly
I desire to be an empty house
in an isolated village.
It should be bare and empty.
But pleasant,
with a fragrance long preserved,
and waiting for someone to move in.
An empty house
as clean and tidy as it might be,
yet open and simple,
from whence I can see the sky and the stars.
Someday
its master will open the door and enter,
softly saying, with a smile, "Oh I really like it."
It is clean and lovely as I desire it to be.
You just need to make the choice to get rid of them. It's up to you to make that choice. You deserve to be happy and healthy, make the step in that direction by getting rid of them.
I don't know much about it but I'd say stick with your therapist if he /she is helping and find a support group with others. Keep talking, I wish you well.
