Hey Gojohnso,

I am from the US, what we do is register. I provided a site for you to look at. That should help you.

place his full name as you know it into inverted commas in your search engine and press search...

like

"john smith"

see what comes up...

Try using the advanced features on the search engine and select the country and language and this minimises the pages found to only what is in Australia....

if that does not come up then do a search on the surname only.... expecially if it is a less popular surname... he may have other relatives here who know where he is or where he has been...

Also you can look up electoral rolls... which is handy if he is enrolled to vote..

If he has a trade or profession you could contact the trade organisaiton or professional organisation he may be listed with..
