i have cold and fever for the past two days I got up this morning and then suddenly everything blacked out all of a sudden,everything became dark felt a strange sensation in my head,i lay down for a few more minutes and then got up and everthing became normal.Can anybody tell me what exactly happened to me

What you just describe seems to be a serious symptom. A lot of things cause it, but there is no point assumming.
Blanking out is serious symptom that you should rather report to your doctor. You should do that fast. People have suddenly died from it even without really falling ill.
It could still be a very minor thing you could easily handle - Maybe stress or Mineral deficiency or low blood count.
BETTER SEE YOUR DOCTOR!

Sounds like you were getting ready to pass out.
Call your Dr. While your there have him/her check your blood sugar. If you've not eating in a while, then your blood sugar could have dropped very low.
