A fine summer day at Mark Foley's house.

Honestly, how and why did this amateur painting end up in Mark Harman's Artchives? The setting is poorly constructed, the figures are disproportionate to each other and to the setting and the landscaping seems as if it were added as an afterthought.

There is a famous Homer Winslow painting of a group of young boys swimming in a pond on a summer day. The painting you've asked about here is so poorly done that only someone who is into the possible gay angle could find this appealing.

when i look at this work, i don't immediately see the gay guys :) i'm thinking of cezanne :) not really knowing why, maybe the brush strokes, maybe the colors, or the light, not sure... anyway it gives me a clear feeling of impressionism/postimpressionism.

haaaa, now I see... it is a bazille painting, now i was somewhat right, wasn't i? :)

There is another question in this category: "What do you know about Greek people? Do you like them?" It appears that the males in the photo are "greek" and, no, I do not like them.
