*raises hand*...I was raised a Christian, left the church, and spent 31 years as an atheist. I've recently changed my mind about that and I absolutely believe there is something else out there. I'll call it God, but I'm not ready to acknowledge it as the Christian God, or Allah, or any such thing. I don't really see the need for organized religion right now, and to me believing is enough. There are many who feel the same way.

The believing part is the most important thing. I totally believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the Teacher and Comforter. I also believe in fellowship. Jesus said, "where ever two or more are together, I am in your midst". There is also scripture that can be read to mean that you need to be part of some religious organization, depending how you read it. Yes it is good to fellowship with other believers, but once again it is not about numbers and it is not about a religion. It is about TRUTH. An assembley is one nut and one bolt. The idea behind assembly came from the Old Testament temple where it was necessary to be in an organized environment, because there was no Holy Spirt living in each person to keep the person on track. Being around a lot of worshipers in the Temple was the many means of accountablity. Now if you have the Spirit of God living in you, He will keep you accountable at all times. Right there telling you, "Hey bud your off track, time to get back to reality."
I am not against churches, but I am against buildings that are made like the Taj Mahal and stand empty most of the time. We are the temple of the Holy spirit and a great big symbolic church with some charasmatic preacher that brings them in like gangbusters is not my cup of tea. In most cases in those enviroments you will rarely hear the Name Of Jesus. It is alway Pastor this and Pastor that.
If you can find a small Bible study group that includes the Holy Spirt as Teacher then you will get all the fellowship most will need from ourside sources. Even in the big so called "Mega Churches", you can get totally lost in the crowd.
However; If God needs to build a big church to draw in one saint and seperate the wheat from the chaff during the building process, He will do it. It may end up being a theater or a bowling alley after that, but God know what He is doing. If you feel led to attend a big gathering, then go. It could be that there is someone there that God has prepared for you to minister to. Then, unless you are being ministered to like you need to be, catch the first flight out of there.
The Rev.

Yes, me. I am really tired of all the, lies coming from all religions an abusing peoples minds, for centuries.but that doesn't stop me to believe that indeed there is the creator, the Master that put an order in the universe and that for some reason we have the honor of live. I value the religious books such as the bible of the coran etc. merely as a reference to the human history. not as a live guide where as human interpretations come all the lies

Sure lots of people do this. They go to a unity temple normally as they are not sure what the right religion is, but believe in the truth of one G-d. All that matters is that you believe in the force. If you believein the force, then you believe in G-d and as such, there is something greater than you or I.

I think that your question should be like this:
"Are there such people who believe in God, but is not associated with a religious group?"
If that's the question, then the answer is yes.
Since that everyone have a religion, but not everyone are associated with a religious group.

There are people who believe in a higher power but dont necessarily follow a structured religion (corporation). Paganism, Wicca, to name a couple would fall under this (Before you attack me yes I know that they are a religion but not structured like the Catholic Church etc.) They also don't believe in the same God I think you are referring to. It is more like a Goddess or multiple gods.
And then there are those who like to ask God for favors when it benefits them, but at other times don't consider themselves religious whatsoever.

Thats whats wrong with this world they follow a religion and not God or Jesus. They attend a church and go on their traditions. They dont know what the word of God says. Follow God then find a church that follows God's word. No you will not find a perfect church, but there is churches out their that follow close to God's word. If God did not want us to go to church he would not have wrote, Go out into the highway and hedges and compel them to come in that my house may be full. The word Go is a command.

Yes, But may I answer this way. Most people in the world will say there is a God. The Bible tells us that the devil believe there is a God. Just because someone says they believe in God don't make them saved. The Bible says the devil believe and tremble at his name. The devil doesn't care if we are religious. But, not a Christian. Big difference between the two. The devil wants us to follow religious or religion to the grave. The devil can get their soul then, they have religion not SALVATION. Correct!
But, he does not want us go to the grave with Jesus in our heart. Because he can not touch or soul. Amen!
It belong to God and he can not have us. Praise the Lord!
Hope you and your family have a great Christmas.
How a person gets saved:
3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
