get a trim to remove any of the dry ends..split ends eventually can ruin your hair because they work their way up the hair shaft...but that doesn't happen immediately. So, in the mean time..head to your drug store..pick up a condition that is for dry damamged hair.. I use Aussie Mega 'Moist'..leave it on for about 5 minutes when you are in the shower. Also, use a moisturizing hair mask or a deep moisturizing treatment at least once a week.
All these products can be found in a drugstore!!!

This is a old home remedy. Try some mayonnaise.Sounds funny, but it works. Or get some of that hot oil treatment. It's not to expensive. After you put it on,put a wet towel (wrung out) in the microwave for two minutes.Be careful when you take it out it's hot!Wrap that around your hair with the product of your choise, and leave it there for five to ten minutes, than rinse.

it will take a little time, but get hot oil,(suave costs like $2.00 for three tubes-so pretty cheap) use this atleast once a week if not twice at first to help repair the damage to your hair. Other then that use a good shampoo and conditioner (try infusium-about $5.00 a bottle-but worth it)

Make sure you trim your ends about once a month. Also AUSSIE has some of the best hair care I've used. There conditioner is about 2.18 and incidently apply condition to the ends, not the top and it won't look dirty so quickly.

Any kind of conditioner helps with split ends. I think depending on the brand, the more expensive kinds are gentler on your hair. Try a kind of deep moisturizing conditioner.

You can try applying olive oil at the tip of your hair before you go to sleep. Just apply on the tip though. Cos applying it on the scalp will make your scalp oily.
