It could be that your copy of windows is not genuine or it could be that you have changed a component of your pc such as the hard disk or the processor and this is causing windows to request a re-activation. If you know your copy of windows is genuine you can call microsoft on 0870 60 70 700 and they can re-activate your windows.

Try Windows Classic or VideoLan. If you REALLY want WMP, then make sure your operating system is the legal version.
