If you always say to them 'bedtime' they will sooon understand what that sound means is going to happen. f you were in a strange country n heard the same words every day before certain things happpened how soon would you understand? i think a 1 year ld understands most daily use words..bedtime, nappy, hungry, etc..though they cant repeat them yet due to lack of mouth muscle tone.

They understand once a routine is established.I do...

Bath-time

Every night between 7 and 7:30 and whenever my sis has babe over night she has to keep it the same or babes a nightmare!!

Get your own routine and once the little one understands it bed time it'll be a piece of cake!!!

. tell him that (in an exceedingly advantageous way - extra flies with honey than vinegar) which you have observed that she does not prefer to eat and is falling asleep and might't end her supper while she gets abode previous her bedtime.. Or that she feels fairly undesirable and cries interior the morning while she is going to mattress later than 8'oclock. even though you could think of of to help him concentration on helping his daughter. Ask him if he has an theory how he might desire to help. do not recommend bringing her back early. that may not going to take place possibly. If he says he does not know what he can do approximately it, you're able to desire to declare something like, "i've got been thinking that if I have been to %. her pj's and cleansing soap and lotion and so forth. which you're able to desire to feed her and supply her her tub till now you convey her abode." permit him know how plenty she loves a bathtub and what a calming time it fairly is for her.and how lovable she is interior the tub.And permit him know how plenty you watch for that factor along with her each night. permit him know what he's lacking via not being there for her bathtime. permit him know that SHE enjoys it - do not supply a splash that it fairly is helpful for you. Even tell him how what a candy time it is for you and she or he, yet which you're keen to furnish it up because of the fact this is not undemanding on her while it fairly is that overdue. i know you desire you probably did not could manage him, yet you recognize what, he's not going away or perhaps however you will possibly not like it, it fairly is his precise to work out her. So attempt to make it undemanding on your self and as friendly as available. it fairly is an prolonged way off till now she is eighteen! furnish him with what he needs to bathe her and probably even feed her. %. it in her bag if he's keen to do it - 4 HER!

bath, bottle and bed gets them into a routine, you are bound to have moments as they get older when they dont want to go but i think if you stay firm they realise and dont often fight it, until they get to about 11 that is!!
