There is a chance that there is someone else, but he also could be telling you the truth. Don't put your life on hold because that person needs time. Move on, and if it is meant to be, you will get back together. Good luck.

The person who needs time is telling you they need space. You are possibly not the one they want to see spending the rest of their lives with.
Take this opportunity to count yourself lucky. Think about it---rather it be a failed 1 year relationship than an expensive divorce. Time will heal ....

Its possible, whats to figure out? If they've been with you for a year and they need for figure out what they need then I think they are trying to say its over and they don't want to be with you.
