How can I get drinking water without any purifying tablets and other stuff like that. I am on an island, there is no water supply, and I have no tools. There is a lot of sea, and no rivers. But it does rain a little. Can I do something with rain or dew?

Distill the rain , thereby getting rid of the impurities present and your water is now safe to drink.

You need to cover a pot/puddle/flatish area of water with something, then collect the condensation which forms on the underside of the cover as the water evaporates. If the cover is curved or dome shaped, then when the water evaporates and then condenses on the cover it will run down to the bottom of the curve and can be collected as it drips off. Also, rain is clean drinkable water and will not need any more purification, especially if you are on a remote island! Or you could dig down with a big stick or something until you hit groundwater - and have your own well. Make sure you do this in the middle of the island, as near the edges the groundwater will mingle with deep seawater on a tidal basis.

every night it usually gets colder so there is more humidity in the air. You may have noticed, when camping as a kid, that the tent has water inside every morning. If you make a large sheet sort of thing with a point in the middle hanging down, the drops of water which form due to the hot humid air cooling down, can be collected in a cup or something.
In the day time, the same sheet can have a hole instead... to collect the rain.
This is better than distilling seawater or piss.

Collect the dew from the surfaces of large leaves early in the morning and keep it in an empty coconut husk.

If you can light a fire, you can also boil the sea water by placing it in the hollow of a bamboo or a coconut husk. Place a leaf above the "pot". When the steam touches the leaf, it will condense to form pure water.

Using any long leaves(make sure it's not a poisonous plant), place them in a container like below

\ / <- leaves
|__| <- makeshift container

best if you can find large leaves, wider surface area collects more water. That'll help collect rain water and dew might condense on the underside of the leaves and drip into the container.

LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY. YOU MUST NOT DRINK PURE DISTILLED WATER IN A SURVIVAL SITUATION AS IT WILL DRAIN AWAY ESSENTIAL MINERALS FROM YOUR BODY.

Look some survival pages on the web for a start.

If you have a large plastic sheet you can use it to collect condensation or rain dig a round hole put the sheet over it and place a stone in the middle.

I hope your situation is hypothetical since you seem to have web access. if not . i would send you next message to the coast guard with your location

If your trying to stay alive i recommend urine . it ain't great but it was good enough for ghandi.

let me know how you get on

You cannot say that the rain water is pure. It may also get contaminated when it comes from the sky. Even some times rain water may mix with some acid. The best water is under ground water heated and filtered for the drinking purpose.

Use the sand over a grate. If the sand is wet, it won't fall through. Use it as a purifier for rain. Rain IS freshwater.
