"Heaven" is knowing the TRUTH. "Hell", is being caught in delusion.

my religion doesn't have a concept of heaven and hell, or good and evil come to that. It is more about the balance between creation and destruction. Creation is not necessarily good and destruction is not necessarily bad, the two must be balanced. Live as you will but do no harm. Whatever you do in the world, good or bad, will be returned to you 3 fold. That's more or less it.

I am Wiccan. We have no heaven or hell. Most of us believe that when we die our souls go to Summerland, where it rests until you are ready for reincarnation.
Personally I don't believe there can be a place of absolute good or evil. Everything is a shade of gray

1) Hell to me is what you make and are bound by in this world, until you awake to your senses and overcome the chains and gravity on your mind that binds you. This is philosophical to the cycle of having your actions loosed back upon you and too mechanical to rise above your deprived state of ignorance... "Be not deceived, God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Galations 6:7). So hell is here and now, and to me the whole fire is symbolic for refinement, that through this cycle (condition) of suffering we are ignorant to we undergo a process of development and personal grace by conquering what makes us slaves in mind..
2) Heaven is what you become. To know thy self is to know "God", you grow to heaven, not go to heaven. It is self mastery and self discovery of the greater self of symmetry. There is no greater conquest then the conquest of your own self.

Heaven is a very nice place -- nicer than our human minds can possibly imagine.
Hell is not a nice place at all -- more unpleasant than our human minds can imagine.
That's about it. As for details, the Bible doesn't really say.
With regard to Heaven, it gives us something to really look forward to. With regard to the other place, it gives us something to think about in order to stay out of it.

Heaven and hell are just in our conscience. No physical places.
