It means that they for some reason had to mature very early in life and never had the experience of thinking and playing like a child. Sometimes this is because of financial pressures, sometimes because of restrictive parents, sometimes because of the absence of attentive parents.

to me, it means they were given alot of responsibility from day one or they are the oldest child of a bunch of kids. i think i was born an adult... i never liked kid stuff when was a kid, even though i love it all now. board games, cartoons... all of it... or they could be the kind of person that takes care of everyone they know.

I would assume it means that they matured at an early age. I guess that's what it would mean.

They were born grown-up and mature, possibly didn't have a very good childhood etc. Not everybody may agree with them.

i would take it to mean we were came into the world that way-born, not hatched like a chicken.

They usually think that they are wise beyond their years (mostly they're wrong) or that they had a tough childhood and had no time to play or waste had to do all sorts of chores and stuff ... instead of being kids

it sorta means that you cant remember being a "child" and have always felt you have acted and felt that everyone around you expects you to act "adult" from the time you can remember.
