Well, the spiciness is also hot, so your face tries to cool it down, and blood rushes to your face. And then your nose and eyes do that as well..except in the form of tears and..mucus?

im from sri lanka and we eat very spicy food. of course some people can handle the spice to a certain level, and others cant. its caused by capsicum and irritants in the chilli,pepper or whatever u eat. if you eat spicy food regularly u will be able to handle the heat more than when u eat just once in a while.

my husband breaks a sweat...I see sweat running down his face and his eyes are watering, his nose is running...and he keeps adding the hot sauce or spice to his already hot food....Yummy?

well, it doesnt' happen to "everybody"! certain people can take a certain level of spice whereas others cannot even take a small dot of pepper in their food! this happens because your body cannot take the spice!
