Does my ex want me back or does his mate want me?!!!!!?

Question

Me and my boyfriend broke up, the break up was quite bitter i.e I called him an egg wit teeth (He really looks like one when he smiles) anyway he called me some foul names too. It was over some girl that he's now living with. His mate who I rarely talk to sent me a xmas text from a number my ex has called me from before. I texted back asking what he wanted and he said, Can't I text a friend? What do you think him and my ex are playing at?!!!! Does my ex want me back or his friend?!!

I texted asking who it was that texted me and he replied "That's Mark, Joe's friend"
Joe, being my ex. It weird tho how he used "That's" as opposed to "It's"

I don't want my ex back but it's comforting to think that he wants me back

i think u taking a msg very seriously, it was normal xmas msg, i dont think it was meant to b taken seriusly, and if it was, more msges will pour in to give u a clearer picture, so dont come to conclusions right now

This 'friend' is interacting with you through text messages so I wouldn't take him seriously at all. You barely talk to this guy.

Your ex boyfriend may well be using him to check up on you. But do you really want to get back into a relationship when you know your ex has a girl living with him?

They're being idiots. If either one wants to be in a relationship with you, they should tell you to your face or at least over the phone.

Next time he texts, tell him if he wants to chat, he can call you on the phone. Then ignore his text messages. If it's for real, he'll call you once he realising you're not taking the texts seriously. If him and your ex are just being jerks, they'll stop.

It's a sticky situation either way. Forget about them completely and enjoy this Christmas! Maybe have a nice smooch under the mistletoe at a Xmas, or get a New Years kiss in! :-)

It's a little too vague to read into right now. But just going on blindly, I'd say that either he wants you back or he's trying to set you up. Even though you 2 aren't together anymore he's probably trying to see if you'd go for his friend because if you do, then in his mind, you've liked his friend all along.

I think ur ex wants u back... and hes too chicken to do it on his own so he has to act like his friend is doing it... Maybe u should play along with his friend and tell his friend that u liked him all along, play his game

All i can say is that you should be careful cuz you can't say for sure what each person is up to. The text may be harmless but either way, don't insinuate yet and keep cool.

I think you should forget about both of them! I think they are just playing with you! Half the worlds population is out there for you (except the egg head and his friend) just go out there and have some fun with decent people!!!
