Unfortunately I lost mine to fit in, I was badly bullied at school, but kept trying to fit in, so I went around doing what the others did in hope the recognise that I was the same as them, sadly it didnt work. I wish I'd kept it. I wish I didnt marry my soon to be ex husband. I should have realised that this life isnt about fitting in or making others like you, its about what you want, and what you desire, only you can make it happen.

Because I love the person! Which is exactly what I did! I had 2 serious relationships which lasted a long time and I never had sex with either of them cos deep down it didnt feel right. I then got with my current boyfriend who I know I really do love and I lost my virginity to him at 18 - we are together nearly 2 years now

You should lose it because you want to and because you love the person you are with. You shouldn't lose it just to fit it, because if you do things that way in the end you will only regret it and later when you look back you will feel bad about it.
If you lose it with someone you love it then will always have a special meaning and then when you look back you will smile and you will back on it with fondness and that is a lot better than regret

The question is a bit black and white. Either you are doing it to fit in or you're in love with someone. What about because you are attracted to someone and want to shag them? You don't have to be in love to want sex. Mind you chances are the first time will be crap either way.

You lose it when you are ready and it's right not because some jacka** with 10 kids that's running from the law trying to collect child support says you are a pus** if you don't. In other words don't let any body push/pressure you. You will know when it's right. (I hope).

It is just sex- a natural part of the human body- if it is with somebody you love, then it can only enhance the experience. Never do it to fit in, that is like having sex even if it is not right for you and that would not be good.

I lost my virgnity to my husband at 23 yrs. old. It was so special the night of our wedding. I am deeply sad for people who do not know this good part of life. If you think that sex is a casual thing, then you are kidding yourself.
Oh, and by the way, there is no such thing as "safe sex."

Never lose your virginity because you want to fit in! Save it until you're marry or met the one you truly loves!
