Isn't it about time they wrote the bible in our present lexicon? Maybe then they could get some more people to believe in their religion. Especially those with trouble understanding what the heck Shakespeare was talking about. Or could it be to make themselves sound more impressive and important?

Yes there are bibles in modern english but the church I used to belong to did not use them. Maybe other religions use them. But those are not true believers (what can you believe in these days) sounds like corporate wars.

Yeah it isn't written American Modern english were I come from. Yeah hate me. That's what you want to do don't you? Full of hate and not understanding. I've just sick and tired of people trying to push religion on me and the world. Aren't you sick of this "christian jihad?" just leave other non believers alone. Stop stereotyping us. Quit the brainwashed mumbo-jumbo. I hear the same thing everytime. If you really do believe in this whole heartedly stop the plagiarism. At least paraphrase what you are trying to preach.

Perhaps then you will get people to listen. And I'm just talking to those who do. There are many many people who truly understand their religion, but those few who throw John 3:16 at you word for word in a sentence out to be schooled a little. It just makes them sound canned and fake. As if they were zombies. Peace and love to all.

Hugo.....go to a Christian bookstore. There you will find every kind of Bible imaginable. I can't read King James, and I was raised on it. But reading New International Version is like reading a book. Make sure you check in the front of the Bible and determine that it was translated from the original Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Aramaic. Not a rehash of English.

Not me and not mine. Mumbo Jumbo's doesn't insist on Old English. He only asks that his followers rub blue mud in their belly buttons, so that they can then go to heaven on their death and sit on his right hand side.

There will be much gnashing of teeth, when the day of judgement comes, from the unbelievers who mistakenly believe that they, and not the blue bellied believers will rise to sit at God's side. Yes, the hell of unbelievers will be filled with wailing infidels on that great day. All hail Robert A. Heinlein, the great prophet, who even today sits on the right side of God, and awaits the judgement day.

Only Mumbo Jumbo gives true enlightenment, and it comes through the belly button via the blue mud.

The religion is mentioned in some of Robert A Heinlein's books. I read about them. I asked lots of questions. It is practical, unless you like wearing short tops. And it makes as much sense as any other religion I've ever read or been told about.

...Uh huh. Try NIV. Seriously. Whatever church still uses old English is kinda denying people the opportunity to understand the Bible, and, in a way, denying people of their walk with God. My advice? Go find an Every Nation church, okay?

The link is attached, go see if there is one in your area.

If you'd come out of the Smartassery for a while you'd know that it is written in "The Present Lexicon" , you pompous asss.

Do people really have trouble in understanding what Shakespeare was talking about. What a sad indictment of our education system.

I speak it, because I love the language......

Why ask thou me?.... Dost not thou like the things which cometh from within mine self?........

Sought I only to offer the good of a matter... To speaketh a word, wise and true and be shared with thee mine own understanding with like minded friends...

Oh let it be passed before me, that I fail not to entertain thee with good things..... even wise..... even true.....
