I've just broken up and being with my ex has taught me to be more confident.

To be more outspoken. I was mentally and verbally abused on a daily basis, to which I kept quiet otherwise I would suffer more. I now make sure I tell people if I'm unhappy about anything and stick up more for myself, about time too I say! lol

Break ups are on of the hardest things you can go through, but you never come out emptied handed,,,,,some good always, comes out of it, as any other experience you always learn, and that is what life is all about.....each experience is a lesson , time is not always wasted.Think about it.In my past relationships, I have learned to be more confident, selfsufficient, and to choose my battles as far as jeaulousy goes. After all , if you can't trust , the person you are with, than there is no love.My thoughts!

Yes. As he was my 1st serious bf, i learnwd alot about relaishonships and how NOT to be treated. I learned a lot about myself too. But in my 2nd relaishonship i am still learning about myself and im realizing that I wasnt the problem...my ex was because i can actually have a normal relaishonship. Im done with the drama and the manipualation that everything was my fault when in fact it wasnt.

In a 3 year relationship I learnt to be more confident. I learnt that if I wanted something to happen in my life I would need to take control and do things to make it happen. I learnt that if you care about someone you should never put them down and be nasty. I learnt how to compromise.

All these things have made me a better person and although that relationship did not work out it has helped me be a better girlfriend in my new relationship.

I have learnt that not everything lasts forever, but that life DOES still go on regardless. I have learnt that I am tough, independent and a better person than he gave me credit for. I have learnt that I don't need him to breathe, and that in fact, not ALL guys are a s s holes. I have learnt that there is someone else who loves me for who I am, not for who my X made me. Life is short, wonderful, full of surprises and fun. Enjoy! Sometimes break-ups are a blessing in disguise (something else I learnt!)

exactly! I think people can learn a lot from breaking up, especially to be more confident and to know that whatever mistakes happened in that relationship you're not going to go through them again.

I learn't not to be jelaous because you can't change the past. I also became a stronger person for it and knew what I wanted in a relationship. I'm now with someone who I love very much and have been for a fantastic couple of years.
I wish you luck in your future relationships

If you do not learn something from every relationship you have then you are doomed to making the same mistakes over and over again. Hopefully I'll have learnt enough to make a relationship last before I die...

No relationship is ever the same, but you do have to take some good with the bad in any relationship.

Although, learning from my last one was when to realise when you are taking too much bad!

absolutely! i always feel more confident after a break up, and what that usually tells you is that the person that you were with more than likely wasnt good for you and your self esteem. It feels liberating to be able to come and go as you plese without answering to anyone or dealing with drama. its good for the soul to not have drama....
have fun! i am :):)
