I have a pomeranian and I absolutely love him. He's a great dog and he's excellent with my small children, I'veever liked poodles for some reason. But he is a bit of a chewer I'm not sure if it's a breed thing or not though.

Ive had both and i would go for the pom as poodles are harder to care for are a bit scatter brained but do train easy but poms are the bees knees so to speak Ive had poms for ever my old boy had to be put to sleep at aged 18 my boy I have now is 14 and still rocking along they train easy they love every one and every thing as long as you let them interact as small puppies good luck sweaty with your choice what ever you decide

Go for the pom, because poodle's eyes tend to look red and weepy around the rims, and that's just not attractive at all. Might just be me, but I've never seen a cleen eyed poodle.

Why not a Pomapoo? (Pomeranian / Poodle Hybrid) They are very cute. Also consider a Schnoodle (Schnauzer / Poodle Hybrid) I have heard they are awesome.

My pommie is my life and I wouldn't trade him for the world. However, they are typically very high strung and yappy. If you want a calmer, quieter, "family" dog you should go with the poodle.

There is no better it comes down to personal preference. Take both your existing dogs with you when you select your new one though to help ease the transition into your home.

How about checking your local animal shelter and stop contributing to the huge pet over-population crisis? (Not saying you are doing it purposely) But millions of unwanted dogs and cats languish in shelters every year...and are then killed waiting desperately for someone to love them and take them home. Imagine how lonely and forgotten they must feel after being abandoned by their family.
