I'm based in Budapest, but I have only ever needed check-ups here, so I can't gauge the quality of dental work.

However, I have an American colleague who uses Profident (see link), who are above average price for Hungary, but way over average for quality of work, in her opinion. They are right opposite the Astoria Hotel (see link), which is very handy for the city centre and has a good reputation.

Several agencies offer package deals. I've included a link to one I found with a search, but it's not an endorsement or recommendation.

If you aren't based here and you're not in a hurry, wait until the spring. April and May are the best months to see Budapest. Winter is cold, dull & grey.

THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!! How can you possibly choose a dentist in a foreign country?

I can only assume that you are asking this question because you are considering seeking dental care abroad. Any non-third world country can have dentists providing excellent care. The only question I would ask is, how in the world are you going to find out which dentist in any foreign country is right for you? It's hard enough for people to find a good dentist in their own neighborhood where they can get recommendations from friends and co-workers. What are you going to do if you have trouble with your dental services six months after you return to the states?
