It depends from where you buy it. I buy mine from a local butcher who buys them from a local farm where the birds are left to wander freely, and to mature naturally rather than be pumped full of medicated food that artificially accelerates growth as in battery farmed chickens.

The texture and taste difference are amazing - it is a bit more expensive but not hugely so. Worth a try even if its once a month treat!

The Majority of the time, no it doesn't, although now & again you can get a totally amazing tasting Chicken!

Yes, its so bland and watery now its disgusting.
