Hi, one don't be nervous about your age and kissing. I was 17 also before I had my first kss to. The average time would be after the 1st or 2nd official date. But really averages aren't something to go by when dating. Whenever it feels right, whenever you feel attracted to him enough to go in for the lean for the kiss. It's that good old corny animal magnetism that is what you need to go by; so you don't need to be nervous. It honestly does come naturally, even if that doesn't calm your nerves.
Hope that helps.

I was 15 before I really kissed a guy. It's scary and thrilling all at the same time. There's no need to rush this.. a first kiss just happens. And it's better if you aren't waiting for it.

Let it be spontaneous.. you'll both know when it should happen.. he'll lean into you and you'll just respond without thinking about it. Kisses, especially the first one is just so great that way. You know that it will happen eventually and when it does you just forget where you are and the time and can't hear anyone.. all you feel is your heart pounding and his lips on yours and it's magical.

It's like that with new relationships too...It's been a long time since I felt that "first kiss" feeling.. but you never forget it, ever.

Aww, cute.

And might I say how refreshing it is to see two teenagers taking things slowly instead of rushing into full blown sex.

I'd say if things are going well and the chemistry is there- maybe even the first date. Definately the second if things are going that well.

Of course its natural to be nervous. Its a very personal thing. A very special thing.

But then again we're not talking the Middle East Peace Process here, its a kiss.

You sound like you've both got your heads screwed on straight so just continue to take things easy, keep your eyes open re the relationship and have fun.

Don't feel bad. It only means you've got high values and respect for yourselves. Time before a kiss all depends on the people involved. Don't be nervous though. When it happens you'll know exactly what to do. Even if it only lasts for a minute. Don't be too pushy, but if you're ready, try and get yourselves in a romantic situation. Lean forward, when you pick up the courage and then go for it.

No need to get nervous.
Everybody in his/her life has a so called FIRST Kiss :)
Nothing to worry about.
Just be yourself, feel relaxed
And take it as ---"It's just a kiss"

As far how many times going out b4 1st kiss -- there is no specific number of dates,
Some ppl kiss each other on their first date
some even before their first date
Some after a long time

It depends on you two !!

Good Luck!!!

There's always the good night kiss on the first date. More serious kissing should wait until the third date.

Ha Ha, forget that...wanna swap spit, there is no time limit for waiting. I've had lots of first date sex, so first date heavy kissing goes with that of course. But ya both gotta wanna do it!!

You might think this is really stupid but you need to ask yourself that not other people becuase other people will make you do things you don't really want to do. If you kiss too early you will feel like your rushing things but if you kiss too late you might make him feel like you just want to be friends, then you might lose your chances all together. Me and my gf didn't kiss until out 12th date almost 2 months after we met and started dating. The wait was worth it becuase once we did kiss it was like nothing I had ever imagined.

Just do what feels right. I know I was nervess before my first kiss. It was my first date too. It was a simple peck on the lips but it was great and I'll never forget it.
